Tony Vincent

I am attending the GAETC conference this week at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta. One of the presesntations that I saw today was by Tony Vincent. I have been lucky enough to see Tony now for several years and at several different conferences. He never ceases to amaze me with the resources that he offers and the ideas that seem to come to him from nowhere. Tony co-wrote Handhelds for Teachers & Administrators, a book about handheld computers, iPods, and podcasting. He presents at educational conferences and travels to schools to deliver workshops to teachers and students, focusing on free and inexpensive learning and communication tools. His websites include Learning in Hand, Our City Podcast, and the Arizona K12 Center Technology Blog. There are more resources on his site than you can possibly imagine. One of the sites he presented today was Jeopardy Labs (http://jeopardylabs.com/) , which allows you to create a customized jeopardy template without PowerPoint. The games you make can be played online from anywhere in the world. They are stored online and you have a unique URL to link back. Your students can play in class or at home as long as they know the URL. Try it out and see what you think. Then explore the Learning In Hand site, as well as the others, and see what else Tony has to offer you....ENJOY!
